Responsibilities
- Build and scale Lenda, Lendable’s credit card product for the Mexican market.
- Develop modern PHP applications and contribute to API and technical architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Backend, Frontend, and other stakeholders to deliver customer value quickly.
- Apply automated testing across unit, integration, and functional testing levels.
- Take significant ownership and help shape engineering practices for an early-stage product.
Requirements
- Be based in Mexico or willing to relocate to Mexico.
- Have strong written and spoken English skills.
- Have modern PHP development experience, including PHP 8.0+ and current PHP features and best practices.
- Have experience with a modern PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel.
- Understand Domain Driven Design, message-driven systems, event sourcing, and CQRS.
- Demonstrate strong automated testing skills across unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Show ownership, autonomy, collaboration, resourcefulness, and a business-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and financial systems is preferred.
- Experience with AI tooling, cross-functional environments, and productivity-oriented engineering practices is preferred.
