Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement complex tools that improve the delivery of pricing programs.
- Learn the insurance pricing domain and create tools that address underlying business problems.
- Automate processes to accelerate product deployment and improve reliability.
- Architect resilient and sustainable applications using Python and cloud best practices.
- Lead complex projects and coordinate work across team members, partner teams, and stakeholders.
- Establish technical standards for coding, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
- Research technologies and development practices to support current and future pricing tool needs.
- Identify automation gaps, delivery blockers, technical debt, and opportunities to improve team effectiveness.
- Mentor junior analysts and developers through technical guidance, code reviews, and implementation support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python experience.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD is required.
- Experience with Linux and Bash is required.
- Experience with Agile development is required.
- Strongly preferred experience with user-facing Streamlit or Flask applications.
- Strongly preferred Docker experience.
- Preferred experience developing with EC2 or other cloud compute services.
- Preferred experience deploying EKS or Kubernetes applications.
- Preferred insurance pricing or compliance experience.
- Preferred experience on a data science or analytics project.
