Base Salary
$170k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evolve APIs supporting user flows and improve the customer experience.
- Optimize queries and relational database schemas for performance.
- Implement algorithms for monetary transaction evaluation, risk management, income verification, and predictive modeling.
- Integrate third-party APIs to support millions of customers.
- Reduce customer service workload through product improvements and internal automation.
- Implement interaction and motion design for user experiences.
- Automate visual testing and visual regression detection.
- Create mobile and web clients for upcoming products.
- A/B test and optimize features that improve business results.
- Own features from concept through delivery across frontend and backend systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
- Experience developing REST-based services and APIs, primarily using Java.
- Experience building UI/UX for new features end-to-end with React or React Native.
- Current knowledge of JavaScript standards, including ES6 and beyond, with TypeScript experience.
- Experience with SQL databases, including schema construction, migrations, and analytical queries.
- GraphQL experience is preferred.
- Kubernetes, Docker, or another container system experience is preferred.
- Quantitative skills and finance knowledge or experience are preferred.
- Experience leading teams or mentoring junior engineers is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
