Base Salary
$75k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Validate next-generation FortiGate hardware models, platform updates, and hardware/software integration modules.
- Perform board bring-up, firmware and BIOS validation, low-level subsystem verification, and firewall and routing feature testing.
- Collaborate with hardware design and software development teams from early prototypes through production release.
- Write scripts for automated testing, test setup, and data or log parsing using Python, C/C++, or Bash.
- Configure and troubleshoot physical or virtual network devices and Linux systems.
- Reproduce issues, isolate system-level defects, and capture network traffic for analysis using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience, including recent graduates with relevant coursework or internships and early-career engineers with network support or systems administration backgrounds.
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking, standard network protocols, packet flows, firewall concepts, packet inspection, NAT, access control policies, and VPNs.
- Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, C/C++, or Bash.
- Practical experience configuring or working with routers, switches, firewalls, or other physical or virtual network equipment.
- Experience with Linux administration, system troubleshooting, command-line navigation, network interface configuration, and basic diagnostics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include Fortinet FCF/FCA/FCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Linux/Red Hat certifications, plus exposure to VMware ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
