Responsibilities
- Define enterprise AI technology vision, non-functional requirements, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and approved software components.
- Architect and implement model- and tool-agnostic multi-agent systems, including an MCP Control Plane, Agent Registry, AI Gateway, certification gate, and core agent services.
- Design AI context layers using knowledge graphs, vector search, semantic retrieval, and reliable grounded RAG pipelines.
- Architect AI data pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing, synchronization, fine-tuning, and RAG.
- Design model adaptation, routing, high-throughput inference, response caching, and request-batching solutions.
- Define centrally enforced security, governance, observability, identity, guardrail, and FinOps controls.
- Lead technology selection, build-versus-buy evaluations, stakeholder workshops, and client and leadership alignment.
- Produce architecture blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and Architectural Decision Records.
- Build proof-of-concept prototypes and foundational software components to validate architectural decisions.
- Mentor cross-functional data, ML, and application engineering teams and research emerging AI technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Significant experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade advanced AI solutions using agentic, generative, and classical AI/ML with at least one cloud vendor.
- Practical experience in agentic AI, LLM, and generative AI.
- Professional coding experience with Python.
- Strong experience architecting and operationalizing LLM-driven application architecture patterns.
- Professional experience developing coding, machine learning, deep learning, and NLP solutions and applications.
- Several years of hands-on industry experience as a machine learning architect designing big data, machine learning, and large-scale analytical engineering solutions.
- German language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
