Responsibilities
- Scope venue specifications, identify platform gaps, and estimate setup work.
- Design venue connectivity with infrastructure, including colocation or proxy arrangements, network lines, addresses, multicast groups, firewall rules, and failover.
- Adapt market-data and order-entry connectors to venue-specific binary protocols, including session management, recovery, throttles, and reject handling.
- Deliver complete raw product definitions, risk parameters, margin rates, price limits, lot and tick tables, and position limits to the normalization team.
- Convert venue archives and captured feeds into the platform format and validate them against live captures.
- Measure and tune latency using hardware timestamps, host placement, NIC and kernel-bypass settings, pinning, connector hot paths, and gateway selection.
- Complete venue and internal certification tests, including replay, soak, order-flow, and failover scenarios.
- Write operating instructions, prepare the desk and operations team, support the first live trade, provide hypercare, and complete handover.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++.
- Understanding of Linux system internals.
- Written and spoken English sufficient for work in an international environment.
- Ability to perform effectively in a remote or hybrid team with variable, project-based responsibilities.
- Preferred: in-depth low-latency or real-time development experience with sub-microsecond latency.
- Preferred: experience with lock-free containers and lock-free programming patterns.
- Preferred: C programming experience, including Linux system or driver development and work with core systems.
