Base Salary
$115k - $191k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the team’s technical outcomes, including code quality, reliability, maintainability, security, and technical execution.
- Lead technical direction and design for small-to-moderately scoped features and partner with Staff Engineers and architects on broader decisions.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical feedback, and raise the team’s technical capability.
- Use AI tools and automation to improve development workflows, engineering leverage, quality, and delivery speed.
- Identify and address technical debt, architectural risks, performance concerns, and reliability issues.
- Diagnose complex technical problems through debugging, observability, and system-level analysis.
- Build quality into development through automated testing, code review, observability, and continuous feedback.
Requirements
- Strong recent experience building and shipping production software as a hands-on engineer.
- Deep proficiency in .NET/C# and TypeScript/Node, with strong experience in React and modern web development.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, SQL, asynchronous programming, automated testing, and production debugging and observability.
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
- Experience serving as a senior technical engineer or technical lead and influencing technical direction without formal management authority.
- Ability to develop technical approaches for ambiguous or moderately scoped problems and drive them through implementation and delivery.
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in daily engineering work.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and clearly communicating technical decisions and tradeoffs with cross-functional partners.
- Helpful but not required: experience with .NET Core, NestJS, Kafka, AWS or other cloud infrastructure, and CRM platforms.
