Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed systems for AWS Network Firewall traffic inspection and filtering.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested software using languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and implement firewall features.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation to uphold engineering quality.
- Contribute across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring in a CI/CD environment.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and security while reducing operational burden through automation and tooling.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience in areas such as application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, or penetration testing.
