Base Salary
$169k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own architecture for multiple technology or business segments and domains within a business unit.
- Define and lead technology proofs of concept and conduct hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions.
- Analyze industry and technology trends, identify modernization opportunities, and drive transformation to reduce technical debt.
- Develop technology target states, roadmaps, architectural priorities, and architectural frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with technology and business leadership to establish direction, gain buy-in, and communicate architectural strategy.
- Provide thought leadership, mentor team members, share knowledge, and strengthen the Architecture organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- 8 to 10 years of architecture experience and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies.
- At least 7 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience and 2 years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience executing complex, large-scale technology strategies and supporting transformational change.
- Experience developing technology target states and roadmaps aligned with short- and long-term business goals.
- Advanced leadership, collaboration, communication, decision-making, and strategic business skills.
- Extensive experience working in an agile operational model and analyzing current and future problems and opportunities.
- Insurance technology experience and strong knowledge of the insurance industry are preferred.
