Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software that improves service availability, reliability, scalability, latency, security, resiliency, and efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams to improve engineering standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and adopt modern data engineering capabilities.
- Build or support data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data models, analytical solutions, and production services.
- Plan, design, execute, continuously release, and operate services within a significant technical problem domain.
- Work effectively in a self-directed, collaborative, customer-focused, data-driven, and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building and shipping production services.
- Experience designing, developing, or supporting data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data models, or analytical solutions.
- Ability to manage short-term and long-term tasks while working through significant technical problems.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar technologies.
- Preferred experience with Azure platform capabilities involving machine learning, storage, networking, access, certificate, and compliance management.
- Preferred testing and validation, analytics and telemetry, problem-solving, DevOps, and live-site support experience.
