Responsibilities
- Contribute to the migration of Guidewire BillingCenter to the Cloud SaaS version.
- Enhance and develop functionality that meets user needs.
- Design solutions, analyze issues, and recommend appropriate approaches.
- Prepare work-effort estimates for assigned tasks.
- Program, test, debug, and document developed solutions.
- Develop Java applications and services in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to developer community initiatives and continuous improvement of practices, tools, and processes.
- Promote and apply software development best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least two years of experience developing on one of the Guidewire platforms.
- Strong experience with Java development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in both French and English is required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment.
- Guidewire certifications are an asset.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud SaaS, Guidewire platform migration or upgrades, and Guidewire BillingCenter is an asset.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Cucumber, RestAssured, and Git is an asset.
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is an asset.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working in an Agile environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry and billing and collection processes is an asset.
