Base Salary
$156k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve core Data In Flight services with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost.
- Lead the Elasticsearch strategy for multi-tenant live user and event data.
- Design and enforce platform contracts that allow product teams to move quickly while ensuring safety and scalability.
- Collaborate with other data and application teams on initiatives like Elasticsearch upgrades and event retention.
- Provide senior technical leadership during incidents and reviews.
- Mentor engineers on distributed systems and data modeling.
Requirements
- Hands-on Elasticsearch expertise in production environments.
- Experience with multi-tenant platform development.
- Strong background in distributed systems, particularly with JVM-based services.
- Ability to lead cross-team projects and communicate technical decisions effectively.
- Clear written communication skills for documentation and reviews.
