Responsibilities

  • Own one or more infrastructure domains end to end, including design, implementation, operations, pull request reviews, and on-call incident response.
  • Write and maintain Terraform modules for AWS resources across development, staging, production, and PCI-scoped accounts using Spacelift.
  • Own GitHub Actions pipelines for Java and Kotlin microservices, including reusable workflows, matrix strategies, and caching.
  • Build Lambda-based operational tooling in Go and Python for metrics collection, secret rotation, IAM authentication, and event dispatching.
  • Set up Datadog monitors, dashboards, and SLOs to improve observability and reliability.
  • Manage IAM, KMS, and access baselines supporting PCI DSS and SOC 2 compliance.
  • Partner directly with product engineers to identify and resolve infrastructure friction.
  • Help execute the migration from ECS to Kubernetes/EKS and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of platform or infrastructure engineering experience, including meaningful production AWS experience at scale.
  • Strong AWS experience with VPC design, IAM, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Proficiency writing Terraform modules and handling state migrations, drift, broken remote states, and plan output.
  • Experience with Spacelift or a similar infrastructure-as-code orchestration tool.
  • Experience designing and operating Kubernetes production workloads at scale.
  • Experience managing GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines at scale, including reusable workflows, matrix strategies, and caching.
  • Experience with Datadog or an equivalent observability platform, including monitors, dashboards, and SLOs.
  • High Python proficiency for implementing complex features for internal customers.
  • Experience with AWS IAM Roles Anywhere and certificate-based authentication patterns.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Clear communication skills for working with product engineers and non-technical peers.
  • Bonus: familiarity with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, Go, or Kafka cluster operations.
