Base Salary
$145k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own feature development from technical design through delivery.
- Write high-quality, idiomatic Ruby code.
- Contribute to architectural decisions regarding data modeling and API design.
- Build and maintain integrations with Customer Data Platforms and marketing tools.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve data reliability and developer experience.
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Data, and Product teams to implement technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and improvements.
- Document technical decisions and integration patterns.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms like Rudderstack or Segment.
- Experience integrating with marketing automation platforms such as Braze or Iterable.
- Proven track record of delivering complex features to drive business outcomes.
- Ability to break down ambiguous requirements into concrete technical plans.
- Exposure to large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and strong PostgreSQL skills.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Rails.
- Solid data engineering fundamentals and testing practices.
