Base Salary

$128k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute major autonomy releases, incremental and performance releases, and hotfix or safety patches.
  • Manage branching strategy, versioning, and release cut processes.
  • Drive release readiness assessments and go/no-go decisions with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain release readiness dashboards, automated health checks, simulation regression tracking, metrics collection, visualization, and validation-signal aggregation tools.
  • Investigate software and hardware interaction issues, distributed-systems behavior, and discrepancies between on-vehicle and simulation results.
  • Develop working knowledge of the sensor stack, middleware, autonomy stack, compute platforms, networking, and vehicle configurations.
  • Enforce the stage-gated release framework from feature completion through code freeze, validation, and release candidate.
  • Identify, track, and appropriately gate safety-critical issues.
  • Improve system robustness, performance, and scalability through measurement and tooling.
  • Support autonomy engineers integrating components with the full vehicle system and maintain knowledge bases, runbooks, and release documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in software engineering, release engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python, with comfort using Bash scripting and Linux environments.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with SQL and/or data querying.
  • Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and branching strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts, analytical and systems-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience includes autonomous vehicle or robotics systems, CI/CD pipelines, release automation, simulation frameworks, hardware-in-the-loop testing, internal engineering tools or dashboards, and basic C/C++ reading ability.
