Senior Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving modeling techniques, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate on software enabling large-scale data and machine learning applications.
- Retrain, maintain, monitor, and govern production models, including responsible and explainable AI practices.
- Build or leverage cloud architectures and optimize ML models for scale, performance, availability, and resilience.
- Construct production-ready data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Lead teams developing machine learning solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 8 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java.
- At least 3 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.
- At least 2 years of experience leading teams developing ML solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similar field.
- Preferred experience includes deploying ML solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and using scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow.
- Preferred experience includes performant production code, ML data preparation, people management, production data pipelines, industry contributions, and interactive AI tooling.
