Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead independent research initiatives in robotics foundation models, perception, manipulation, multimodal learning, sim2real transfer, and related areas.
- Design and implement novel deep learning architectures, algorithms, and efficient model inference systems.
- Lead full-stack robotics projects from conceptualization through deployment, integrating hardware considerations with algorithmic development.
- Collaborate with platform, hardware, and robotics teams to integrate, optimize, and scale models for real-world applications.
- Prototype and evaluate foundation models and robotics systems using Amazon’s large-scale compute and infrastructure.
- Contribute to technical strategy and next-generation robotics research directions.
Requirements
- PhD, or a master’s degree plus 4+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
- Experience with Java, C++, Python, or a related programming language.
- Experience applying theoretical models in applied environments and building machine learning models or algorithms for business applications.
- Experience developing and implementing deep learning models.
- Experience with patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Track record of solving complex technical problems.
- Preferred qualifications include Unix/Linux, professional software development, foundation models or large language models, robotics, computer vision, sim2real transfer, multi-task learning, distributed training, production ML deployment, large-scale robotic systems, and Python with PyTorch or JAX.
- First-author publications at major or top-tier ML, robotics, or AI conferences are preferred.
