Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive multi-year technical strategy, including distributability and multi-cloud strategy.
- Lead the highest-complexity, highest-impact engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams.
- Serve as a primary technical decision-maker for major organization-wide architectural decisions.
- Design Claude Enterprise abstractions and systems for broad distribution, governance, connectivity, and scale.
- Partner with Inference, Platform, Customer Success, Infrastructure, and Safeguards on foundational systems, customer needs, security, privacy, and responsible deployment.
- Mentor and develop Staff-level engineers across the organization.
- Drive alignment across Product, GTM, Customer Success, and other stakeholders while addressing systemic technical risks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience with a track record operating at Staff or Senior Staff level.
- Experience shaping technical strategy for large-scale Cloud Service Provider or Enterprise SaaS companies.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture, including design documentation, architectural decision-making, and coding in critical paths.
- Strong enterprise domain expertise in security, identity, compliance, governance, permissions, and connectivity.
- Ability to lead through influence, build trust across organizational boundaries, and drive outcomes without formal authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
