Base Salary
$146k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to applied machine learning and artificial intelligence research for Pinterest problems.
- Analyze data and build intelligent, data-driven models.
- Develop machine learning, NLP, graph analysis, ranking, and recommendation solutions for discovery, ads, search, and notifications.
- Design, build, and test engagement prediction models and content recommendation systems for push, email, and in-app notifications.
- Write clean, efficient, sustainable code and work on large-scale applied machine learning projects.
- Scope and independently solve moderately complex problems.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- Machine learning experience in areas such as ranking, computer vision, NLP, content recommendations, embeddings, or information retrieval.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark and scalable real-time systems processing stream data.
- Mastery of at least one of Java, C++, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MLflow.
- Proficiency with AI-native engineering, including designing agent-friendly codebases and using AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated suggestions for correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Experience conducting research and solving analytical problems, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
