
Senior Software Engineer - Trust and Telemetry

Responsibilities
- Own a Trust and Telemetry subdomain such as OAuth/SSO flows, audit logging, telemetry ingestion pipelines, or fine-grained permissions.
- Drive features end to end from design documentation and alignment through implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Design for enterprise reliability with observability, rollback paths, and incremental delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and partner engineering teams to scope and prioritize work.
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical standards while giving and receiving feedback.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience designing and building backend services in production.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency, failure modes, and resiliency patterns.
- Experience building APIs and data models used by other teams or customers.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, or Java.
- Experience with relational databases and at least one key-value, document, or time-series store.
- Hands-on production ownership including on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
- Familiarity with observability tooling and SLOs.
- Strong written and verbal communication for design documents and asynchronous collaboration.
- Ability to work with Product and Design on scope, trade-offs, and delivery increments.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, GraphOS, or API gateways is a bonus.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, enterprise SSO, IAM, RBAC/ABAC, or audit logging is a bonus.
- Familiarity with AI agents, tool/function calling, or agentic middleware is a bonus.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or service meshes is a bonus.
- Background in security engineering, compliance tooling, or enterprise identity is a bonus.
