Responsibilities
- Define artifact and container-based deployment strategies and evolve the immutable deployment platform.
- Design and implement on-premise and cloud infrastructure across VMware, AWS, and Azure.
- Maintain and upgrade on-premise data center infrastructure and optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, scalability, availability, and security.
- Develop infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
- Enable developers to build, package, and deploy images locally, on Kubernetes, and to the cloud.
- Troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, security, deployment, and remediation issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, security hardening, and monitoring of on-premise and cloud environments.
- Develop tools for deployment automation, platform metrics, reporting, and monitoring.
- Provide platform support for services built with Java, Python, Go, PHP, and other languages.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or similar roles.
- Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, container-focused Linux distributions, and cloud virtualization.
- Experience designing and building tools and infrastructure for cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
- Operational experience supporting other departments and optimizing deployments for availability and uptime.
- Programming experience with Bash, Python, and Golang.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as Redis, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, and Cassandra.
- Experience with VMware vCenter, clustering, and virtualization technologies is preferred.
- Experience managing bare metal servers, storage systems, and SAN networks is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
