Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Translate vehicle-level requirements into clear, verifiable, and traceable BMS and energy storage requirements.
- Perform system analysis, simulations, functional decomposition, and architecture studies for scalable BMS frameworks.
- Collaborate with safety and reliability teams on FMEA, FTA, and safety analysis for fault-tolerant embedded systems.
- Define verification procedures and PASS/FAIL criteria and support integration testing and release quality with V&V teams.
- Analyze large-scale telemetry and fleet-health data to monitor battery performance, diagnose anomalies, and triage field issues.
- Develop and deploy OTA software mitigations for field anomalies and continuous battery safety and longevity improvements.
- Own configuration management, versioning, and release processes for reproducible, auditable, and compliant deliveries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience developing BMS or energy storage systems with embedded hardware and software for safety-critical, real-time systems.
- Deep understanding of BMS concepts including cell modeling, state estimation, cell balancing, and fault diagnostics.
- Ability to translate high-level system requirements into low-level embedded hardware and software requirements.
- Experience with requirement management processes and at least one requirement management tool such as JAMA, Polarion, or 3DX.
- Experience with cross-functional software integration, configuration management, and automated HIL testing frameworks.
- Proficiency analyzing large-scale vehicle telemetry data using Python, SQL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Preferred experience with MBSE tools, OTA update pipelines, MATLAB/Simulink model-based design, ISO 26262/ASIL, ISO 21434, CAN, CAN-FD, UDS, isoSPI, AUTOSAR, fleet analytics, Git, CI/CD, and automated regression testing.
