Responsibilities
- Architect solutions for ingesting, maintaining, enhancing, and exposing internal company data.
- Collaborate with engineers in Data Intelligence, Platform Infrastructure, and source system data teams on big data solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders across FactSet on strategic projects using the Data Lake.
- Contribute to modernization from SQL infrastructure to Databricks and AI-based solutions.
- Design and implement solutions incorporating security and SOX compliance.
- Lead project work and influence engineers and engineering decisions across the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in data engineering.
- Proven track record as a Lead Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant data engineering libraries.
- Experience with SQL and relational database use and design.
- Experience with cloud technology, particularly AWS and EC2.
- Experience with ETL pipelines and workflow development.
- Databricks experience is a strong plus.
- Experience using AI technologies such as Claude and Gemini.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with non-technical stakeholders, including Finance, Sales, and executives.
- Power BI familiarity is a plus.
- Finance knowledge is a plus.
