Base Salary
$190k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, transform, and analyze agronomic and geospatial data.
- Design and implement data-processing pipelines for mobile, web, and third-party integrations.
- Design and implement scalable data-intensive processing software systems and microservice-based services.
- Develop REST and GraphQL APIs using Java, Clojure, and Scala for Azure and AWS deployment.
- Build data-intensive processing systems for agronomic and geospatial data using Python and GCP BigQuery.
- Analyze planting, soil sampling, and harvest data to prepare in-season insights for third-party customers.
- Support design and code review processes.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Develop GitHub Copilot AI skills and agents for operational maintenance and migration of Java, Clojure, and Scala upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an agronomic, agriscience, and/or crop science environment.
- Experience using MRMS and AHPS to produce daily precipitation data for business-to-business workflows.
- Experience using PRISM, GHCN, and ERA5 to review historical weather information and analyze regional temperature data for business-to-consumer workflows.
- Experience designing and implementing REST and GraphQL APIs using Java, Clojure, and Scala for Azure and AWS.
- Experience designing and implementing data-intensive processing software systems for agronomic and geospatial data using Python and GCP BigQuery.
- Experience analyzing planting, soil sampling, and harvest data for customer insights.
- Experience developing GitHub Copilot AI skills and agents for operational maintenance and language upgrade migrations.
