Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in all activities associated with the software development lifecycle.
- Support software processes, reviews, integration, analysis, and sustainment activities as required.
- Collaborate with an agile software development team supporting the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance are required.
- 5–7 years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support in relevant open/layered architecture, operating environment, model-based tools, information assurance, tools development, safety analysis, real-time system data analysis, problem analysis, or system integration environments.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with scaled agile principles, object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments and integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax, driver-based and automated test environments.
- Preferred experience with ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
