Responsibilities
- Build and maintain tools for developing and releasing open source software.
- Create tools for ingesting open source software at Datadog.
- Develop documentation and training materials for contributing to open source projects.
- Engage with open source communities to identify market trends and challenges.
- Create tools to analyze and report on open source repository trends.
- Collaborate with Datadog Open Source Partners to select new projects.
- Research and write content for the Datadog Open Source Hub.
- Provide feedback on products through documentation or code contributions.
Requirements
- Approximately 3+ years of experience as a software developer or SRE.
- Fluency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- A passion for building tools that enhance engineer productivity.
- Strong empathy, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Bonus: Active membership in an open source community.
- Bonus: Familiarity with open source licenses and Contributor License Agreements.
