Base Salary

$140k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term architecture vision and scalable SaaS platform architecture for CampusGuard web applications.
  • Lead technology evaluations, architecture decisions, development standards, engineering practices, and modernization roadmaps.
  • Design API, integration, reporting, security, authentication/authorization, logging, monitoring, and audit-trail architectures.
  • Develop production software across the application stack, including critical platform components and shared services.
  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Define DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, System Owners, development teams, QA resources, offshore teams, and security and compliance teams.
  • Coordinate platform enhancements, testing, release readiness, and architectural consistency.
  • Support compliance frameworks and assessments including NIST, TX-RAMP, and HECVAT.
  • Lead technical teams while retaining hands-on ownership from architecture through delivery and leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of architecture or technical leadership experience owning architectural decisions through implementation and deployment.
  • Experience leading SaaS platform development and successfully designing and delivering SaaS platforms.
  • Strong modern application development experience, including AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Proficiency with technologies such as React, Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#, .NET, Firebase, Node.js, and Python.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Azure, AWS, and GitHub.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures, RESTful APIs, data modeling, and database design.
  • Understanding of secure coding principles including the OWASP Top 10.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Ability to lead technical teams while staying hands-on, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and operate in a fast-moving environment.
