Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate core transaction risk services and infrastructure supporting payment products and transaction systems.
- Own key components and services across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.
- Build high-concurrency, highly available distributed services and optimize latency, throughput, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners on technical solutions, APIs, service boundaries, and architecture.
- Evaluate new graph, streaming, machine learning, and LLM-related technologies for risk needs.
- Mentor engineers and improve team quality and delivery efficiency.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering expertise suitable for a senior-level role.
- Experience designing, developing, and operating highly available distributed services using Kotlin or Java.
- Ability to own end-to-end delivery, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.
- Ability to collaborate on technical solutions, APIs, service boundaries, and architectural improvements.
- Interest or experience evaluating graph, streaming, machine learning, or LLM-related technologies.
- Ability to mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
- Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response when needed.
