Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend synchronization and networking systems for AI operations across edge devices, cloud systems, and isolated environments.
- Architect data synchronization frameworks using content-addressable storage, Merkle trees, and CRDTs.
- Lead performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of distributed software under resource constraints and intermittent connectivity.
- Apply threat modeling, secure key management, and cryptographic primitives and protocols to security-first system design.
- Deploy and integrate AI components in restricted or air-gapped systems with MLOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
- Contribute to architectural design discussions and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain testing, observability, and validation practices supporting reliability and compliance readiness.
- Work with distributed hash tables, content identifiers, gossip protocols, DAGs, overlay networks, and NAT traversal as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with backend systems languages such as C++, C, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with peer-to-peer or decentralized networking frameworks.
- Experience with concepts or technologies such as IPFS, torrents, content-addressable storage, Merkle trees, CRDTs, distributed hash tables, gossip protocols, DAGs, overlay networks, or NAT traversal is relevant to the role.
- Rust development experience is useful, but candidates can learn Rust while working with these systems.
