Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through implementation and recommendations
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements
- Support the mission of providing secure and reliable internet to underserved communities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Experience with one or more software development languages, such as Python, C++, or Golang
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure
- Experience contributing security improvements to complex systems is preferred
- Experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules is preferred
- Understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols, is preferred
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly, navigate complex systems, learn new technologies, and handle ambiguity
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR work authorization requirements
