Responsibilities
- Engage with product owners and managers to understand requirements and develop solutions for investment management research and reporting.
- Build and support ETL pipelines, data analysis applications, scalable microservices, and message-driven applications for investment management.
- Automate manual processes to improve productivity and empower portfolio management and research teams to build data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with internal business partners, vendors, technical leads, architects, and product teams.
- Provide application support, including on-call coverage and occasional overtime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, or business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 5 years of application development and support experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, AWS S3, Step Functions, Lambdas, SNS, SQS, and Glue or Apache Spark.
- Strong experience with data modeling for relational SQL and NoSQL applications.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
- Strong understanding of architectural and software design patterns, software engineering and testing methodologies, and Agile development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for architectural and technical documentation.
- Investment management data and data vendor experience, including Bloomberg or FactSet, is preferred.
