Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality software across multiple services and components.
- Create technical designs aligned with architecture principles and engineering standards.
- Build secure, resilient, observable, and maintainable systems.
- Lead technical decisions and balance speed, quality, and sustainability.
- Improve testing strategy, deployment confidence, code quality, and engineering practices.
- Own operational health, including monitoring, incident response, post-mortems, and remediation.
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Experience delivering large, complex, global, or multi-tenant production systems.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, incremental technical solutions.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical topics to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Proven ownership of production services, including reliability, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team engineering capability.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing, operating, and optimizing cloud-native applications on AWS, including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, and Elastic Beanstalk.
