Responsibilities
- Develop internal applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- Work on both frontend and backend code bases.
- Support the value of journalistic independence and the mission of The New York Times.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript environments.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Experience building applications using React.js.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and technical peers.
- Experience building applications on a major cloud provider (AWS or GCP).
- Experience building and integrating APIs.
- Ability to dissect and understand complex systems.
