Responsibilities

  • Own software testing and quality for data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites that verify delivered software against requirements.
  • Contribute to backend services and applications for data warehousing, big data, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Develop resilient, scalable cloud-based microservices that meet uptime and accuracy targets.
  • Program in high-level languages such as Go, Python, and Java.
  • Work on deployment automation and configuration management using specified DevOps tools.
  • Perform expert-level troubleshooting, system investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Document processes and source code and collaborate with product, architecture, data engineering, platform, and solutions teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an associate degree in those fields plus two additional years of relevant experience.
  • At least one year of software engineering experience including internships, or two years of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language.
  • Experience with modern application development frameworks and professional software engineering practices across the software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with Agile software development techniques.
  • Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving and time-management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with open-source technologies, cloud-based services, Google and Azure cloud environments, databases, analytics, big data systems, business intelligence products, distributed systems, healthcare software, and automated software test suites.
