Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, organize, and communicate project tasks and objectives, including coordinating third-party developer status reporting.
- Design, develop, document, test, and deliver Customer Proof of Concept content across Cisco networking, data center, SD-WAN, security, collaboration, and cloud architectures.
- Meet with account teams, technical marketing engineers, content developers, partners, and customers to gather requirements and create POC designs and test plans.
- Serve as the primary engineer throughout POC introduction, build, test, and customer delivery phases.
- Use AI coding tools, Ansible, and Terraform to generate scripts and configure Cisco and cloud solutions consistently at scale.
- Plan and document projects using standard design templates and tools, and justify designs to peer groups.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalations, coordinating fixes, documentation, support knowledge-base updates, and tier 1 and tier 2 engineer training.
- Provide technical support and design recommendations while liaising with operations, project management, and third-party developers.
- Develop independent content and contribute to automation, observability, analytics, and agentic AI workflows.
Requirements
- CCNP/CCIE-level expertise or equivalent experience.
- Multi-architecture Cisco experience across Enterprise Networking, Data Center, SD-WAN, Security, Collaboration, and Cloud.
- Hands-on proficiency with Claude Code and Cursor for generating, reviewing, and refining scripts, and with Ansible or Terraform for end-to-end configuration.
- Strong routing, switching, and security background, including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, DMVPN, IPSec, NAT, TrustSec, LISP, VXLAN, EVPN, and 802.1X.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN controller deployment, templates, policies, and Cloud On-Ramp for Multi-Cloud.
- Experience with Cisco Software-Defined Access, Cisco Catalyst Center/DNA Center, network device management, SD-Access Fabric, provisioning, SWIM, templates, and Plug-and-Play.
- Cloud networking experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with VMware vCenter, virtual machines, and infrastructure virtualization.
- Experience with testing tools such as Spirent, Cyberflood, Avalanche, Ixia, Keysight, and WAN emulation.
- Project delivery, project management, time management, organization, analytical reasoning, communication, teamwork, adaptability, dependability, and independent learning skills.
- Additional desirable skills include Go, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, XML, SQL, web development, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, ThousandEyes, Nexus Dashboard Insights, automation, observability, analytics, and agentic AI.
