Base Salary
$189k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the overall front-end direction for hosted authoring environments, administrative UIs, and runtime application UI generation.
- Architect and develop software, prototypes, and proofs of concept for a performant, scalable, and reliable web platform.
- Lead functional requirements gathering, technical specifications, project planning, and test planning.
- Mentor engineers, act as a technical subject matter expert, and lead a small team solving complex programming and design problems.
- Create technical documentation and presentations communicating architectural and design options to development teams and business users.
- Resolve defects and bugs across QA, pre-production, production, and post-release patching.
- Collaborate with product management, QA/QE, product lines, and business units to deliver growth and experimentation capabilities.
- Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable Kubernetes services and support operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, maintaining, and innovating enterprise-level cloud-native applications or platforms, specifically in front-end engineering.
- Strong leadership experience, including leading meetings, presenting, serving as a technical go-to person, and leading cross-functional work.
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Strong coding skills in JavaScript/React and Python.
- Working knowledge of Java/J2EE; Kotlin experience is helpful.
- 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture and API design using REST and GraphQL.
- Experience across the software development life cycle and software design and architecture processes.
- Expertise with unit testing and Test Driven Development.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile Development, Scrum, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
