Responsibilities
- Apply supervised and reinforcement learning algorithms to 5G wireless physical-layer and radio-resource-management challenges.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to improve AI-integrated system-level wireless simulators.
- Research software development tools and technologies and support implementation using industry best practices.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives, including Ericsson invention disclosures and patents.
Requirements
- Knowledge of wireless communications and machine learning.
- Experience with reinforcement learning, federated learning, deep learning, GANs, DQN, LSTM, SVM, or random forest.
- Understanding of Transformer architectures, variants, and practical applications, plus familiarity with large language models.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras; data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering; and system-level cellular communication simulators.
- Basic understanding of LTE and NR 3GPP specifications covering physical layer, radio-resource management, and mobility.
- Minimum 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent and submission of an unofficial transcript.
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program at a four-year college or university during the co-op.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
