Base Salary
$87k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and test embedded aircraft software applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Solve complex technical system and software integration problems and design solutions aligned with end-user and operational needs.
- Support requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance for military and commercial programs.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, technical assistance, reviews, proposal participation, and process improvement.
- Use debugging, optimization, timing analysis, and integration techniques to ensure software integrity and real-time operation.
Requirements
- STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with software requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
- Experience developing and testing software with C++, C#, Ada, Python, or closely related languages.
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment and using object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with Git, DevOps and DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software systems design, integration, management, and debugging tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred experience with embedded high-criticality RTOS environments, safety-critical programs, real-time optimization, Ethernet and MIL-STD-1553, computer hardware interfaces, communications and graphics libraries, requirements development, software configuration management, Agile tools, and parallel programming.
- Strong collaboration, analytical, writing, presentation, organization, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
