Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and improve firmware for platform assets used in multiple access-control scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated firmware test scripts and frameworks covering static analysis, unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Increase test coverage and emulate edge cases and failure scenarios.
- Design and maintain automated hardware-in-the-loop test hardware for wireless network and sensor testing.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware issues across firmware and hardware.
- Monitor and analyze test results and create detailed test reports and quality metrics.
- Perform design and code analysis using appropriate tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of firmware engineering experience.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M series and real-time operating systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C, with strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Ability to read schematics and automate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and voltmeters.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and high-quality firmware release practices.
- Experience with collaborative environments and agile development processes.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting and explaining complex technical concepts.
- Passion for IoT solutions involving electronics hardware, iOS and Android mobile applications, and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience with Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, network packet sniffers, and network logs.
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems, version control, and test-driven development.
