Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and improve firmware for platform assets used in multiple access-control scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks covering static analysis, unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Increase test coverage and emulate edge cases and failure scenarios.
- Design and maintain automated hardware-in-the-loop test hardware for wireless-network and sensor-behavior regression testing.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware issues.
- Monitor test results and create detailed test reports and quality metrics to improve firmware quality.
- Perform firmware design and code analysis using appropriate tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of firmware engineering experience.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M series processors and real-time operating systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C, with the ability to debug and isolate complex firmware and hardware issues.
- Ability to read schematics and automate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and voltmeters.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and practices for high-quality firmware releases.
- Experience collaborating in agile development environments and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience or interest in IoT solutions involving electronics hardware, mobile applications, and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience with Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, network packet sniffers, and log analysis.
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems, version control, and test-driven development.
