Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy and define a long-term roadmap for the observability team.
- Build and operate log, metric, and trace ingestion and processing systems, monitoring, alerting, and related observability workflows.
- Review technical roadmaps and project implementations while contributing to substantive technical discussions.
- Partner with engineering teams, operators, leadership, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and operationally sound solutions.
- Lead and mentor engineers, provide feedback, accelerate their growth, and manage performance.
- Reduce operational burden and risk while improving system scalability and maintainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Strong coding skills in Go, Java, or an equivalent language.
- Experience designing, building, and operating high-scale observability or infrastructure systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Active US security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills and experience leading complex cross-team engineering efforts.
