Responsibilities

Improve automated machine learning and computer vision tooling for ZEISS’s digital microscopy platform.
Develop production-ready software in Python with software developers and machine learning engineers.
Contribute to automated ML pipelines, scalable ML infrastructure, and computer vision algorithm training frameworks.
Work with microscopy datasets from cell biology and industrial quality applications.

Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, STEM, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to develop production-ready software in Python, supported by a project portfolio.
Active user of Git and version control.
Good understanding of modern deep learning and computer vision algorithms.
Track record of contributing maintainable code to team or open-source projects.
Curiosity, willingness to learn new subject areas, self-motivation, independent working style, and collaborative mindset.
Fluency in English or German.
