Software Engineer III - AI/ML Developer

- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Build, deploy, and maintain machine learning platforms or infrastructure.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Evaluate external vendors, startups, internal teams, and architectural designs for applicability to existing systems.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Consider upstream and downstream system impacts when designing and implementing solutions.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning platforms or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and one or more ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with data-processing frameworks and tools such as Spark, Pandas, and SQL.
- Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML, or with on-premises ML infrastructure.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and practical cloud-native experience.
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Snorkel AI, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, feature stores, model registries, ML metadata management, Terraform, CloudFormation, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
