Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Unreal Engine 5 applications for immersive experiences, digital twins, photorealistic environments, data visualization, and enterprise real-time platforms.
- Build reusable gameplay, interaction, visualization, plugin, and tooling systems using C++ and Blueprint Visual Scripting.
- Develop touchscreen, multi-screen, nDisplay, and Pixel Streaming experiences for executive demos, command centers, experience zones, and client innovation environments.
- Integrate Unreal applications with live IoT feeds, REST APIs, MQTT, WebSockets, backend services, and enterprise data sources.
- Create cinematic storytelling experiences using Sequencer, virtual cameras, camera animation, lighting, color grading, and narrative scene composition.
- Implement advanced rendering, materials, VFX, procedural animation, physics-based interactions, vehicle or mechanical animation, and simulation-driven movement.
- Develop character, mechanical, and interactive animation workflows using animation blueprints, state machines, blend spaces, Control Rig, IK workflows, and Motion Warping.
- Optimize performance using Unreal Insights, GPU Visualizer, profiling tools, asset optimization, skeletal mesh optimization, memory budgets, and platform-specific tuning.
- Automate editor and asset pipeline workflows with Python and Editor Utility Blueprints.
- Collaborate with designers, architects, backend engineers, artists, and product teams; mentor junior developers, review technical work, and support delivery execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on Unreal Engine experience, including strong Unreal Engine 5 production and real-time 3D application development experience.
- Strong C++ and Blueprint Visual Scripting skills, including the ability to design reusable systems, plugins, tools, and interaction components.
- Experience building digital twins, real-time dashboards, interactive simulations, multi-user or networked experiences, and live data visualization environments.
- Experience integrating Unreal Engine with REST APIs, MQTT, WebSockets, backend services, data streams, and enterprise integration layers.
- Strong knowledge of Lumen, Nanite, Ray Tracing, Substrate, lighting, worldbuilding, photorealistic environments, and cinematic composition.
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Material Editor, Master Materials, Material Functions, and HLSL.
- Experience with Sequencer, virtual cameras, camera blocking, cinematic storytelling, color grading, and presentation-quality real-time narratives.
- Working knowledge of Niagara VFX, animation blueprints, state machines, blend spaces, Control Rig, IK workflows, Motion Warping, and procedural animation.
- Strong performance engineering skills involving profiling, asset optimization, memory management, and frame-rate tuning.
- Experience with Python automation, Editor Utility Blueprints, and asset pipeline automation.
- Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, independent execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with nDisplay, Pixel Streaming, multi-screen projection, touchscreen installations, multiplayer, networking, WebRTC, cloud-hosted Unreal deployments, digital twin use cases, photogrammetry, CAD, BIM-to-Unreal workflows, and collaboration with artists and technical directors.
