Responsibilities
- Maintain, operate, and improve production infrastructure environments and Linux-based systems.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Support cloud, virtualization, and container-based platforms while improving system hardening, monitoring, logging, and alerting practices.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support release processes and maintain clear infrastructure documentation, procedures, and runbooks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of strong Infrastructure/DevOps experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting in production-grade environments.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Ability to analyze system behavior, diagnose performance issues, and resolve complex infrastructure problems.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment promotion workflows.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools, specifically Chef.
- Solid scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud/virtualization platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, or VMware.
- Experience with container tools like Docker or Podman.
- Experience with container orchestration or enterprise platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, hardening, and operational best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, centralized logging, and structured production incident response.
