Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend application services for Monzo’s in-house banking platform.
- Design and develop resilient software for distributed systems.
- Contribute to customer-facing products and underlying infrastructure across banking, payments, finance, security, and operations.
- Make data-informed decisions with a focus on customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across disciplines and participate in system design and behavioral interviews.
Requirements
- Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
- Experience with distributed systems and writing resilient software.
- Some experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala.
- A product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
- Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
- Interest in building products used by customers every day.
