Base Salary
$167k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and define cloud security posture, cyber resilience, and zero-trust initiatives.
- Apply governance, risk, and compliance principles to cloud engineering.
- Improve the reliability and security of Mercury’s cloud infrastructure with infrastructure and engineering teams.
- Automate cloud security controls to minimize threats, vulnerabilities, and risk.
- Shape AWS cloud architecture around resilience, least privilege, and long-term maintainability.
- Address remote-access challenges and cloud security concerns with teams and stakeholders across Mercury.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud security, networking, information security, or related fields.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and privacy regulations including NIST CSF, FFIEC, SOX, SOC 2, GLBA, ISO 27018, and PCI DSS.
- Understanding of accepted security practices, troubleshooting, attack vectors, and customer support.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to remain calm and competent in high-pressure situations.
- AWS certifications are encouraged.
