Responsibilities

  • Build scalable microservices and data-driven platforms.
  • Design and develop backend distributed systems for high-scale, low-latency advertising infrastructure.
  • Create solutions using public cloud technologies and APIs.
  • Tune systems for high-scale performance and work with relational and non-relational data stores.
  • Use data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Develop privacy-preserving, user-centric advertising technology across Apple Services.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of industry experience building scalable microservices or data-driven platforms.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Prior object-oriented programming experience, such as Java or C++.
  • Familiarity with cloud paradigms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Expertise building backend distributed systems.
  • Experience creating solutions with public cloud technologies and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of microservice design and high-scale performance tuning.
  • Expertise with relational and non-relational datastores.
  • Proficiency in data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree, Java proficiency, cross-functional leadership experience, and advertising-industry experience are preferred or advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
