Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, application development, model development, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Develop strategic enhancements for internal applications supporting market data loading and streaming, index calculations, data distribution, and hedge calculations.
- Manage the full development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, monitoring, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming and security solutions.
- Design, implement, monitor, analyze, and improve highly distributed, multithreaded applications and event-driven architectures.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and provide technical guidance and operational support.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and junior analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Assess technology and business risks, maintain required procedures and standards, and support regulatory and compliance obligations.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Proficiency in Java 8 or later, message queues, relational databases, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with JVM-based languages such as Scala.
- Experience designing user interfaces with reactive frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Experience designing multithreaded applications and microservices-based architectures.
- Understanding of streams, reactive functional programming, and event-driven architectures.
- Expertise monitoring, analyzing, and improving the performance of highly distributed, multithreaded applications.
- Experience automating build, test, deployment, and release processes using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization concepts and virtualization platforms.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Interest in financial engineering, equity and derivatives markets, or quantitative finance is a plus.

- Primary location salary range is $94,300.00-$141,500.00 per year.
