Responsibilities
- Build, own, and evolve production-quality test automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure for iCloud products.
- Design scalable automation solutions and automated UI tests across iOS, macOS, and the web.
- Drive initiatives that improve test coverage, reliability, engineering efficiency, and release confidence.
- Write test plans and investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems across the technology stack.
- Integrate LLMs or agentic workflows into developer and QA tooling, including failure triage, test-case generation, and log or artifact analysis.
- Build internal developer tools and test infrastructure such as execution platforms, test data services, and results dashboards.
- Lead quality for cross-functional projects, own automation for product areas, mentor engineers, and help set technical direction.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in test automation, software development in test, or quality engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, or a comparable language.
- A proven record of building and maintaining production-quality automation code and designing automated test frameworks and tools.
- Experience writing test plans and creating automated UI tests with XCTest, WebDriver, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, QA processes, CI systems, and test infrastructure.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred experience leading quality for cross-functional projects, mentoring engineers, setting technical direction, and building internal developer tools or test infrastructure.
- Preferred experience integrating LLMs or agentic workflows, using AI coding assistants, testing distributed cloud services, working with API, integration, and UI automation, and improving test reliability.
- Familiarity with Apple platforms including iOS and macOS, the web, and large-scale testing environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
