Responsibilities
- Shape the technical and product roadmap and vision with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead.
- Ensure the team is well-resourced and able to plan and deliver its roadmap effectively.
- Drive high-impact projects from customer problem discovery and solution design through technical discovery, execution, and delivery.
- Own the health, maintainability, scalability, and performance of the team’s systems and services.
- Align the team’s work with wider technical strategy across the Onboarding organization and Wise.
- Coach and mentor engineers and support their technical growth.
Requirements
- Experience building distributed, highly scalable systems and microservices architectures.
- Strong product and customer mindset with experience building customer-facing products.
- Strong technical expertise in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or similar.
- Experience mentoring and teaching other engineers through hands-on work.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, analysts, and other cross-functional peers.
- Experience working with frontend or mobile engineers and design functions is a bonus.
